About

Our aim is to bring together University of Toronto’s many communites involved with the study of mind. We directly represent all full-time Arts and Science udergrad students enrolled in a Cognitive Science program or course offered by the program. That said, anyone interested in studies of the mind are welcome to join our events and engage with the community — we’re glad you’re here!

What We Do

Student Resources

We provide extensive support to new students in the Cognitive Science program. We offer workshops to help prepare for the tests and essays in the program’s introductory course, COG250. On top of that, we organize community events and academic conferences to offer our students a doorway into the Cognitive Science world at UofT and beyond.

To keep up to date on all things CASA, follow us on social media (IG, Discord) or scroll down to the bottom of this page and subscribe to our mailing list! Joining our Discord is the best way to keep up with what’s happening, and the quickest way to have any questions answered. On top of that, it also hosts our online events as well as group-chats for courses in the program.

Library

We also host a library containing 500 books (and counting!) on various cognitive science topics at our office. It’s also a great place to chill with games, snacks, and chargers available — we invite you to come by and hang out or just say hello!

The office is located in room F301 at University College (UC). To find it, enter the door marked F on the west side of the UC quad, then go up the stairs to the third floor. Unfortunately, the university has not provided us with an accessible space for our activities, but we’re working on it. Meanwhile, please contact us via info@cogsci.ca so we can arrange access to our resources in a way that works for you.
